# See every check coming, straight off the meters.

RALPH counts down each aircraft's scheduled checks, such as its 25-, 50- and 100-hour inspections, straight from the meter readings on its flight records, and tracks every dated item, from the ARC to a component's life. You see what's coming for the whole fleet in one list. When a check is due, Ralph books the aircraft in and moves the bookings in its way. When someone reports a defect that grounds an aircraft, it's grounded at once, and your rules decide what happens to its bookings.

*The fleet's maintenance: G-WWBB's 50-hour check due soon and booked in for Thursday by Ralph, G-WWCC's ARC renewal on 14 March, and G-WWFF grounded by a defect.*

## How it works

1. **Set up each aircraft.** Give it its checks and dated items, and its meters as they read today. Or tell Ralph, and it asks what it needs.
2. **Fly, and watch the countdown.** Every confirmed flight counts down the aircraft's checks. The fleet list shows what's due soon and what's grounded.
3. **Book it in.** When a check comes due, Ralph books the aircraft in and moves the lessons in its way. A defect that grounds an aircraft grounds it at once.

## Questions, answered

### Where do the hours come from?

From each aircraft's flight records. Every confirmed flight's meter readings count down its checks, so the countdown is only ever as old as the last flight.

### Does RALPH replace our maintenance organisation?

No. RALPH is for operators, not maintenance organisations. It tracks what your aircraft have coming and when they're booked in, and your maintenance organisation does the work and signs it off as it does today.

### What happens when someone reports a defect?

The defect is recorded against the aircraft with who reported it. If it grounds the aircraft, the aircraft is grounded at once, and your airworthiness rule decides what bookings on it get. Ralph can move them to another aircraft, rechecking each one.

### Can we track things other than hours?

Yes. Dated items, such as the ARC, insurance or a component's calendar life, are tracked beside the hours, and Ralph reminds you before each one falls due.
